Body

We’re thrilled to announce that Santa Barbara is one of 10 cities across Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. selected to receive a $100,000 grant from the Bloomberg Philanthropies Asphalt Art Initiative. The program uses art and design to improve street safety, vitalize public spaces, and engage residents with their communities. In partnership with the County Office of Arts & Culture, the City of Santa Barbara’s collaborative effort will focus on the State and Carrillo intersection to elevate the new home of the farmers market with a series of design elements that celebrate local Mixteco culture.
